Veterinary Receptionist/Animal Care Assistant
We are an independent, non\-corporate, family run small animal veterinary practice and we are looking for a new member of support staff to join our team.
Our small friendly team is a busy one and every member of that team has a key role in delivering a high standard of care for our patients and the humans they bring with them. The role is a mix of Reception and Animal Care Assistant tasks. The main day to day duties involve helping clients, answering the phone, taking payments, answering emails, receiving orders, managing stock and helping to keep the clinic clean and tidy. Some time is also spent assisting the vets and nurses and looking after hospitalised animals.
We are looking for approximately 24 hours a week. This includes every other Saturday morning (8:30\-12:30\) and the weekday shifts fall within our opening hours of 8:30\-7 with a biase towards a 7pm finish.
We are a friendly supportive team and this is an entry level position with all training provided on the job. Our only pre\-requisites for this role are a love of animals (and their owners), a willingness to learn and a big smile. However some experience in veterinary practice or in a related animal industry and familiarity with computers and customer service is an advantage.
Package includes salary, pension and cost price treatment for own pets.
Job Types: Full\-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: £10\.85\-£12\.71 per hour
