Are you an experienced Veterinary Nurse ready to step into a leadership role? We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Veterinary Nurse Team Leader to guide our nursing team, drive clinical excellence, and help deliver outstanding patient care.

Parker and Crowther Vets have been providing first‑opinion veterinary care to pet owners along the Sefton coast for over 30 years. Our highly trained and dedicated team of Vets, Veterinary Nurses, and Veterinary Receptionists are committed to delivering a personal, compassionate, and empathetic service to every client and patient.

The Role

Based at our Daleside branch \- Birkdale, Southport.

This is a full\-time position (38 hours per week, including lunch breaks), with flexibility for job share arrangements for the right candidates.

  • Working Pattern:

+ 38 hours per week
+ 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8:30am – 1:00pm) on a rota basis

\*\* Salary – £32,000 \-£37,000 pro rata dependent on experience and qualification \*\*

What You’ll Be Doing

As Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in shaping the nursing team and maintaining consistently high standards across the practice. You will:

  • Lead by example, demonstrating clinical excellence, professionalism, and continuous development

  • Uphold the RCVS Code of Professional Conduct for Veterinary Nurses

  • Maintain compliance with RCVS CPD requirements and actively engage in leadership development programmes (including Senior VN Thrive and leadership training pathways)

  • Champion and adhere to practice protocols (clinical and non\-clinical), ensuring the team follows best practice at all times

  • Ensure full compliance with health \& safety, infection control, and relevant legislation

  • Effectively prioritise workload and delegate tasks, balancing clinical and managerial responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of reflection, learning, and continuous improvement

  • Communicate confidently with colleagues, leadership, and the wider VetPartners network

  • Contribute to broader initiatives that support team development, community engagement, and best practice sharing
