Home Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in person centred care, with experience in home care, care homes, or similar environments. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their independence.

Duties

• Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing


• Assist with meal preparation and dietary needs


• Support medication administration as prescribed and monitor client health


• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients


• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean living environment


• Assist clients with mobility when necessary


• Support clients to appointments or social activities as required


• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition

Requirements

• Knowledge of first aid and CPR is advantageous


• Familiarity with multiple sclerosis care practices is beneficial


• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and families


• Ability to perform manual handling as needed for client assistance


• Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high\-quality caregiving services
