Vehicle Telematics & CCTV Engineer

Job Summary
Due to continued growth, Smartfits is looking for experienced Telematics \& CCTV Field Engineers based in Bristol, with the flexibility to travel nationwide across the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, family\-run business at the forefront of vehicle technology. You will play a key role in installing, maintaining and troubleshooting telematics and CCTV systems in a variety of vehicles, helping our customers improve vehicle performance, safety and data management.

Reporting to your mentor and our Installations Director, you’ll use your strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of automotive electronics to deliver high\-quality installations and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain vehicle telematics and CCTV systems


• Ensure systems are fully integrated with existing vehicle electronics


• Use hand and power tools to complete high\-quality installations


• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver projects on time and safely


• Carry out routine checks on tools and equipment to maintain performance


• Represent the business professionally in this customer\-facing field role

About the Role

This is a field\-based role, working directly with customers across the UK. Successful candidates must be well\-presented, professional and confident working independently on the road.

Typical working hours average around 10 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with optional overtime available on Saturdays.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in vehicle telematics installation (required)


• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive electronics


• Experience installing vehicle CCTV systems


• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues in vehicles


• Full UK driving licence (required)


• Professional, organised and comfortable working independently in the field

Job Type: Full\-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with overtime and weekend availability
Work Location: Field\-based / On the road across the UK
