Vehicle Technician

Our client, a reputable dealership in Woolwich, Greater London, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy team.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals looking to progress their career within a well-established dealer group known for quality and staff development. The successful Vehicle Technician will have the chance to utilise advanced diagnostic technologies and develop expertise through manufacturer-specific training programmes.

Benefits:

• Competitive basic salary up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience


• OTE earning potential of £60,000 or more annually


• Overtime paid at enhanced rates


• Monday to Friday working hours, from 8am to 5pm


• Saturday mornings on a rota basis, from 8am to 12:30pm

Duties as a Vehicle Technician:

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer standards


• Conduct routine servicing and complex fault diagnostics


• Complete repairs, component replacements, and thorough vehicle inspections


• Ensure all work meets quality standards and targets


• Advise customers on additional repairs or maintenance needs


• Utilise the latest diagnostic tools and maintain accurate workshop records


• Perform vehicle road tests and conduct health checks for customers


• Keep updated with technical information and product updates through ongoing training

Requirements:

• IMI Level 3 Motor Vehicle Technician qualification or equivalent


• Proven experience working within a professional automotive service environment


• Strong diagnostic and repair skills, capable of handling complex tasks


• Knowledge of working in a busy main dealership environment is desirable


• Eligible to work in the UK with a clean driving licence and minimum of 1 year’s driving experience


• Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high workshop standards
