What you'll be doing:
Reporting to the Head of Product and Product Governance Manager, this role supports the development of new products at AXA Partners and manages existing “in\-life” products in the Travel product range. It ensures the governance of all product processes, new and existing regulatory requirements, and guarantees a consistent and streamlined approach throughout the company, particularly within the Global Markets team responsible for sales and distribution.
A key aspect of this role is the development and management of products and services that deliver positive outcomes for clients, bring value, and are aligned with AXA Partners’ strategic and commercial objectives within the conduct risk appetite. The position also supports the account management team on product\-related topics with partners and participates in the internal operational transformation program.
Role Dimensions :
Focus on the UK and Ireland
Lead existing “in\-life” product topics in the travel sector
Support the development of new products as necessary
Contribute to transformation programs, ensuring fair and positive customer outcomes
Conduct customer and market studies
Provide product and regulatory support for account management, partners, and operations
Engage on other product/marketing topics as needed
Key Responsibilities :
*New Product Development*
- Lead and own the governance process for travel new product development
- Gather ideas for product and process enhancements internally and from partners
- Maintain the product development framework to meet FCA requirements and internal conduct risk standards, ensuring consistency across the business
- Understand and work within the AXA Partners product approval process
- Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Conduct market, competitor, and customer research to support new product development and growth
- Manage the new product roadmap, coordinate with operations and relevant business lines, and provide business leadership
- Develop and secure sign\-off for all new product documentation, distribution models, and journeys
- Drive improvement actions with operations, account managers, stakeholders, and partners,
- Regularly review the Terms \& Conditions for each product to ensure fairness, transparency, and positive customer outcomes, working with partners on improvements,
- Deliver bespoke research projects as needed to support business initiatives,
- Maintain central repositories of all documentation, including IPIDs, target market statements, T\&Cs templates,
- Produce regular market and competitor reports/news updates for peers and the Executive team,
- Prepare product update packs/presentations to support partner growth and retention (including attending client meetings and training seminars),
- Assist with onboarding new clients and product launches, focusing on product sign\-off, launch, and customer documentation.
SM\&CR Conduct Rules
The role adheres to the Senior Managers \& Certification Regime (SM\&CR). The incumbent must act with integrity, due care, skill, and diligence, cooperate with regulators, and treat customers fairly.
Professional Development
The role is relevant for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The candidate must maintain appropriate knowledge and demonstrate good conduct.
What you'll bring:
- 2\-5 years’ experience in insurance or financial services product marketing, governance, or customer experience. Ideally familiar with the UK insurance/financial regulation industries.
- Experience in developing and adapting insurance policy wordings in a fair, clear, and non\-misleading manner
- Proven track record managing products in a regulated environment and product governance framework
- Customer\-centric mindset and experience leading customer\-focused product or process improvements
- Highly analytical and creative, with the ability to challenge the status quo
- Strong communication skills, emotionally intelligent, comfortable with senior stakeholders, and experienced in regulatory and product training
- Resilient, well\-organized, with excellent time management and the ability to handle diverse workloads.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, Adobe, and other productivity tools
