Transport Planner – High \& Heavy Division
Location: Knutsford
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: TBC

We’re looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join our busy High \& Heavy Division, coordinating the movement of vehicle transporters and plant equipment across the UK.

This is a key role within a specialist logistics operation where precision, efficiency, and attention to detail are essential. You'll be part of a supportive team that works together to ensure every movement is carried out safely, compliantly, and on time.

Essential Requirement:

• Minimum 12 months’ relevant HGV transport planning experience, with the ability to clearly demonstrate practical knowledge of route planning, vehicle allocation, and driver compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the transport of vehicle carriers and heavy plant machinery


• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and third\-party suppliers


• Monitor live transport activity and adapt plans where necessary


• Ensure full compliance with transport legislation and safety standards


• Maintain accurate, up\-to\-date records using transport systems and software

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a transport planning or logistics coordination role


• Strong understanding of HGV and plant movements


• Good working knowledge of UK transport regulations and geographical routing


• Excellent communication and organisational skills


• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast\-paced environment


• Familiarity with transport planning software (desirable but not essential)
