Transport Planner \- Wardle (CW5\)
Salary: £33,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 5 on 2 off (Weekend Availability required) \- 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Role Purpose: To produce national transport plan for the Boughey Network, working to the resources available to produce a feasible, executable and cost effective solution. To provide real time monitoring of the plans as they are being executed and make the necessary changes to ensure that all work is completed on time and in full. To Monitor site and driver compliance to plan. To manage a challenging work stream, balancing priorities, working under pressure, making sound but swift decisions, keeping the network on track. Working to key business and individual planning targets, monitoring own performance and keeping up to date with best practice. Working rotating shifts to help provide full office cover
- Production of an achievable integrated network plan, within specified timescales
- Production of a plan that falls within KPI goals
- Production of a plan that is profitable for Boughey, and / or cost affective for the customer
- Ensure service levels and contracted KPI's are met.
- Ensuring Booking in Process is effective
- Make changes to routes efficiently on the day of execution to ensure that work is completed on time and in full.
- Communicating effectively with the network
- Ensure office administration is completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Working with multiple customers, understanding their business requirements and adhering to their specific needs
- Embracing and supporting change programmes, ensuring seamless transitions on time and to budget
- Identify strategic improvements and CI for the operation, in order to save money, make money, or improve service
- Providing information required for finance and management teams, in full and to timescales required
- Working effectively with Transport sites, suppliers, warehouse teams, delivery locations and customers
- Support the training of new team members, inside and outside of the National Planning Centre

- Transport office experience (desirable)
- Microlise experience (desirable)
- Centralised Planning Function exposure (desirable)
- Knowledge of EU transport legislation (desirable)
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK (desirable)
- Experience of working well in a pressurised environment (essential)
