Transport Planner
Company Overview:
Freeburn Transport Ltd is a leading logistics company operating out of Northern Ireland.
The Transport Planner will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the transportation of goods and materials. Ensuring efficient routes and timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem\-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday \- 50 Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities
\- Plan daily work schedule and routing for drivers.
\- Accommodate additional customer orders efficiently on a daily basis.
\- Ensure that the performance of drivers is effectively managed.
\- Manage driver \& vehicle scheduling to ensure all deliveries/collections meet customers’ expectations.
\- Deal with any issues that arise, and problem solve effectively.
\- Ensure activities within operations are carried out in accordance with legal, environmental and company policies.
Requirements
\- Previous transport planning experience
\- Knowledge of Tachograph \& WTD
\- Excellent customer service skills to deal with customers, drivers and third parties.
\- Excellent communication \& organisation skills
\- Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
