Transport Lead - Trade Waste

Position Summary
Due to continued growth and development, WRC is recruiting a Logistics Lead to manage the routing and logistics of WRC’s Trade Waste division ahead of expansion. This is the perfect opportunity for a driven Operations/ Transport professional looking to embark on the next stage of their career at a reputable Recycling facility.

Duties

• Managing the logistics and routing of WRC’s fleet of modern trade waste vehicles across Glasgow.


• Coordinating WRC’s fleet of Trade Waste Drivers to ensure runs remain streamlined.


• Working closely with the commercial team to ensure routes are fully maximised.


• Attending operational meetings regarding transport contracts.


• Plan and organise daily driver sheets.


• Invoicing trade waste customers in accordance with duty of cares.


• Liaise with Transport and Workshop managers to ensure compliance of WRC’s trade waste fleet


• Management of sub\-contractors.


• Answering telephone enquiries to company standards and ensuring calls are delegated to the appropriate person


• Additional tasks will be carried out as required.

Requirements of the role

• Knowledge and understanding of Trade Waste routing systems is essential


• Waste experience is essential


• Previous experience managing staff is essential


• Must be a self\-motivated and highly organised


• General understanding of MS office applications would be beneficial


• Able to deliver excellent customer service when dealing with WRC customers
