Transport Coordinator

Location: Sevenoaks, TN14 7NL

Salary: Starting from £29,745 per annum, depending on experience

Job Type: Full\-Time \| Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm, plus one Saturday per month on a rota basis (8:00am – 1:00pm)

Operating from our Sevenoaks branch, we provide fast, responsive and customer\-focused vehicle hire, recovery and transport solutions across London and the South region.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an organised, proactive and reliable Transport Coordinator to join our expanding South team.

The Role

This is a varied and fast\-paced role where no two days are the same.

You will play a key role in coordinating vehicle deliveries, collections, recoveries and storage operations whilst supporting drivers, liaising with customers and ensuring the smooth running of our daily operations.

As one of the first points of contact for customers, drivers, insurers and suppliers, you will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Key Responsibilities

Planning \& Logistics

  • Coordinate vehicle deliveries, collections, recoveries and storage operations throughout London and the South region.

  • Plan efficient driver routes, vehicle movements and daily workloads.

  • Monitor jobs throughout the day and respond promptly to operational changes.

  • Allocate work effectively to maximise productivity and customer service.

  • Liaise with drivers to provide clear instructions and operational support.
Customer \& Client Communication
  • Liaise with customers regarding bookings, collections, deliveries and service updates.

  • Communicate with insurance engineers, repairers, recovery agents and suppliers.

  • Respond to driver queries and resolve operational issues efficiently.

  • Handle incoming calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
Administration
  • Update internal systems accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Maintain records relating to vehicle movements, recoveries, storage and completed jobs.

  • Ensure customer information and operational records are maintained accurately and confidentially.

  • Complete general office administration and associated paperwork.

  • Ensure documentation is accurate and maintained in line with Company procedures.
Team Support
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments.

  • Support the wider transport operation as required.

  • Contribute positively to a busy, customer\-focused team environment.

  • Assist with additional duties as required to support the needs of the business.
About You

We're looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys problem\-solving and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

You will ideally have:

  • Excellent organisational and problem\-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.

  • Confidence using computers and office systems.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • A calm and professional approach under pressure.

  • A reliable, flexible and proactive attitude.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience within transport planning, logistics, administration or customer service would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
