  • Coordination with branches — Work closely with yard teams, sales desks, and warehouse staff to ensure goods are ready, loaded safely, and dispatched on time.

  • Health \& Safety support — Promote safe working practices, ensure drivers follow site rules, and report incidents or near misses promptly.

  • Acting\-up responsibilities — Take responsibility for the transport function during periods of annual leave or absence of the Transport Supervisor, ensuring continuity, decision‑making, and operational oversight.

  • Good IT skills, including transport systems, compliance tools, and Microsoft Office.

  • Understanding of vehicle compliance, safe loading, and transport regulations (training can be provided).

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make practical decisions, including when acting up in the Supervisor’s absence.
Personal Attributes
  • Proactive and solutions‑focused, with a hands‑on approach.

  • Team‑oriented, supporting the Transport Supervisor and wider branch operations.

  • Customer‑focused, ensuring deliveries are accurate, timely, and professional.

  • Attention to detail, especially with paperwork, compliance, and scheduling.
