support worker for small care home

Oak Lodge are currently recruiting for a day support worker to join our team.

post is for minimum 21 hours contract per week

we are a small care home of 17 residents with or without dementia.

Duties for the roles include but are no limited to:
\- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
\- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment as needed.
\- Administer medications according to the care plan and document accurately.(senior trained only)
\- Prepare meals (tea time only) and assist with feeding as necessary.
\- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up.
\- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients.
\- Escort clients to appointments or outings as required.

Qualifications: (desired but not a deal breaker)
\- High school diploma or equivalent.
\- Previous experience in care or a related field is preferred but not required.
\- Compassionate and caring nature.
\- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
\- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
