Speedy Freight is looking for a proactive and organised Transport Controller to support our busy National operations from Knutsford.
This is a great opportunity for someone with transport, fleet or logistics experience who enjoys working in a fast\-paced environment and being at the centre of daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

Managing daily transport and fleet coverage
Supporting drivers with operational queries
Allocating jobs to drivers and subcontractors, managing driving hours accurately and in real time
Resolve escalated operational issues quickly and professionally
Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of drivers
Maintaining effective communication with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth daily operations
Monitoring vehicle issues and servicing requirements
Working closely with customer service teams to maintain service levels
Supporting national contracts and branch operations

What we are looking for....

Experience within transport, logistics or fleet coordination
Strong organisation and communication skills
Comfortable managing multiple priorities
Good IT and administration skills
Stays calm under pressure
A proactive and detail\-focused approach
