Transport Controller (Nights)

Location: Kempton Park Depot
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (12\-hour shifts, 20:00 \- 08:00\) with opportunities for overtime.

ULS \& Son is a well\-established transport company with over 17 years of experience, specialising in providing reliable services to high\-end clients across the nation. Operating primarily within the London area, we pride ourselves on our professionalism and dedication to excellence.

We are seeking a reliable and detail\-oriented individual to join our hardworking team at our Kempton Park depot.

You must be able to supply 5 years referencing and be willing to supply a basic DBS.

Responsibilities:

• Dispatching and coordinating our fleet of vehicles throughout the shift.


• Monitoring vehicle movements and updating clients with real\-time information on delays, estimated arrival times, departures, and arrivals.


• Communicating effectively with drivers and customers via phone, email, and WhatsApp.


• Quickly identifying and implementing solutions to any issues that arise during the shift.


• Booking and coordinating vehicle breakdown repairs and tyre replacements.


• Preparing for upcoming shifts by updating spreadsheets and client\-specific online systems.


• Liaising with driver agencies to ensure adequate staffing levels.

• Ability to work shifts (20:00 \- 08:00\) on a 4 on, 4 off schedule.


• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Punctual, organised, and excellent time management skills.


• Problem\-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to challenges.


• Confidence in working both independently and as part of a team.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Excel, Word) and general computer skills.

• Experience in customer service.


• Experience in a fast\-paced transport or logistics environment.

Pay: £30,000\.00\-£32,000\.00 per year
