WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The REUK Transition Project Manager is responsible for transitioning the legacy Tactical Engagement System (TES) and Combined Arms Virtual Simulation (CAVS) into enhanced capabilities integrated within the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS).

Covering REUK Ground Tactical Engagement System (GTES) and CAVS, you will plan, coordinate and deliver transition activities from mobilisation through Initial Operating Capability (IOC) and Full Operating Capability (FOC), ensuring delivery is safe, on schedule and within budget while maintaining support to Army collective training.

Working with Army stakeholders, the Instrumenting Service Lead, CAVS Manager, OEMs, commercial partners, engineering teams and ACTS service leads, you will manage plans, risks, resources, dependencies and stakeholder engagement.

You will coordinate trials, testing, acceptance, logistics and training, ensuring effective integration with legacy systems, the ACTS data architecture and wider Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) environment.

Project Delivery

  • Develop and manage integrated CAVS and GTES plans, schedules, deliverables and transition strategies aligned with ACTS and Army milestones.

  • Coordinate delivery through IOC and FOC, monitoring performance and implementing recovery actions where required.

  • Integrate engineering, logistics, training, commercial and operational workstreams.

  • Produce project reports, dashboards and governance updates.

  • Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate with OMNIA, DE\&S/NAD and wider programme stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management
  • Act as REUK’s key point of contact for CAVS and GTES delivery.

  • Build effective relationships with Army stakeholders, OEMs, partners and ACTS teams.

  • Lead project meetings, reviews and workshops.

  • Communicate progress, risks, issues and dependencies clearly.

  • Ensure customer requirements are incorporated into delivery and acceptance planning.
Risk, Budget \& Resources
  • Manage risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and opportunities (RAIDO), including mitigation and escalation.

  • Manage resources, budgets, expenditure and forecasts against agreed plans.

  • Coordinate personnel, equipment, procurement and supporting resources.

  • Monitor supplier and contractor performance against contractual requirements.
Technical Delivery
  • Coordinate technical implementation with engineering teams and OEMs.

  • Ensure solutions align with ACTS requirements, architecture and Platform Approach.

  • Oversee integration, testing, verification, validation and operational readiness.

  • Support technical reviews, design assurance and configuration management.

  • Coordinate trials, demonstrations, user acceptance testing and transition activities.
Compliance \& Assurance
  • Ensure compliance with OMNIA/MOD policies, contracts, legislation and programme governance.

  • Embed safety, security, quality and information assurance requirements.

  • Maintain appropriate project documentation and audit trails.

  • Support Service Acceptance Reviews and other assurance activities.

  • Promote quality, continuous improvement and professional standards throughout delivery.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
Essential Skills
  • Strong organisational and team management skills whilst being able to work as part of a close team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.

  • Strategic thinking and problem\-solving capabilities.

  • Understanding of technical development processes, including technical Stage Gates.

  • Experience of managing complex systems through in\-service, transition and handover phases of the project/capability lifecycle, including coordination across delivery, support and operational stakeholders.

  • Proactive and self\-motivated attitude
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Formal Project Management, Operations Management or Leadership/Management qualification and/or suitable project, capability or in\-service management experience. Relevant qualifications may include APM, PRINCE2, ILM and/or CMI.

  • Experience working within a highly regulated and technical sector, ideally managing complex capabilities through transition, handover and in\-service phases.

  • Familiarity with UK defence and procurement processes/standards desirable.

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain Security Clearance for projects within the UK Defence Sector
