Shaker Wholesale is one of the UK’s fastest\-growing handmade kitchen companies, manufacturing our own high\-quality kitchens through our dedicated factory and supplying customers across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Trainee Kitchen Designer / Design Assistant to join our head office team in Cirencester.

The Role
Working closely with our experienced designers, you will assist in managing kitchen projects from initial sale through to production. You will play a key role in ensuring all information is collected accurately and communicated effectively between clients, designers, and our production team.
This position offers hands\-on experience across all aspects of the business, providing a clear pathway into a Kitchen Designer role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting kitchen designers with day\-to\-day project administration.
- Liaising with clients to gather information, measurements, appliance specifications, and design details.
- Assisting in preparing production packs and ensuring all project information is complete and accurate.
- Coordinating between designers, clients, suppliers, and production teams.
- Learning our product range, manufacturing processes, and design systems.
- Assisting with showroom presentation and maintaining high showroom standards.
- Helping manage customer enquiries and follow\-up communications.
- Ensuring projects progress smoothly from design approval through to manufacture and installation.
- Providing general administrative support to the design and sales team.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Confident using computers and Microsoft Office.
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Interest in interiors, kitchens, design, architecture, or home improvement would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in administration, customer service, retail, or design support is beneficial but not essential.
