Trainee Installations and Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Security Installation and Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop hands\-on skills in technical service, gain valuable experience in public facing, high security environments, working a variety of hours, which will include out of hours working. This is an ideal opportunity to build a foundation for a successful career in security installation, maintenance, and provides on the job training with experienced professionals. Learning essential procedures and gaining practical knowledge to support our service operations whilst using state of the art portals to log works completed. This role is perfect for individuals eager to grow their technical expertise while contributing to high\-quality service delivery.

Duties

• Assist with installation works, under supervision.


• Assist with routine maintenance and calibration of a range of security systems, under supervision.


• Support the setup, testing, and troubleshooting of equipment and alarms where required, under supervision.


• Conduct basic inspections and document findings during service visits or equipment checks, following our in house portal usage.


• Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for materials.


• Complete required Health and safety courses in Asbestos awareness, Manual Handling and Working at Height and any others as deemed necessary.


• Maintain accurate records of service activities, inspections, and equipment status updates.


• Communicate effectively with team members regarding technical issues or operational updates, and where necessary communicating with office staff to ensure clients are kept up to date with progress.


• Drive company vehicles safely to client sites for on\-site support or equipment servicing

Skills

• Basic Electrical experience or familiarity with cabling procedures is desirable


• Proficiency in English for clear communication and reporting purposes


• Valid driving license with a clean driving record.


• Basic IT skills including troubleshooting hardware/software issues and understanding digital systems


• Knowledge of Health and safety principles or experience working within a security / Alarm installation environment


• Ability to follow detailed instructions, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures

Pay: From £12\.71 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40\.0 per week
