We are looking for an experienced, self\-motivated and detail\-focused Assistant Night Manager to join and support our team at our Alcester depot.

As Assistant Night Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the night\-time operations of our Alcester depot. Working across the office, warehouse and despatch functions, you will help drive efficient processes, support and motivate the team, and ensure the smooth and timely distribution of customer orders.

Providing an exceptional level of service is at the heart of everything we do, and you will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Key Responsibilities \- Night Operations

• Oversee the night\-time operation of the depot, ensuring all warehouse, stock control, order processing, picking, loading and despatch activities are completed efficiently and accurately.


• Lead, support and develop the night shift team, including warehouse, administration and distribution colleagues, ensuring clear direction and effective communication throughout the shift.


• Ensure customer orders are accurately picked, checked, loaded and despatched on time, maintaining consistently high service standards.


• Monitor night\-shift performance, productivity and operational efficiency, identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.


• Maintain high standards of health, safety, security and compliance throughout the night operation, ensuring all procedures and regulations are followed.


• Support the effective management of the depot, ensuring vehicles are available, roadworthy, clean, compliant and maintained to the required standard.


• Monitor and manage any night\-time operational issues, taking appropriate action to minimise disruption and escalating significant issues to senior management where required.


• Complete effective handover and communication with day management, ensuring key operational information, issues and priorities are clearly communicated.


• Work closely with senior management to deliver depot objectives, operational targets and continuous improvements.


• Promote a culture accountability, teamwork, high standards and continuous improvement across the night shift.

• Proven experience within night\-time depot, warehouse, distribution and/or logistics operations. Experience within the drinks or FMCG sector would be advantageous.


• Strong leadership and people\-management skills, with the ability to motivate, support and develop a team working during night operations.


• Excellent organisation, time management and problem\-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities throughout the night.


• Good understanding of stock control, warehouse systems and logistics/fleet management software.


• A proactive, hands\-on approach with a strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards during a fast\-paced night shift.


• Ability to work independently, make sound operational decisions and resolve issues effectively during the night, escalating where appropriate.


• A strong understanding of health \& safety, compliance and safe working practices within a warehouse and distribution environment.


• A valid UK driving licence is essential; an FLT licence would be advantageous.
