Trainee Drainage Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Drainage Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities

• Assist with excavation and installation of drainage systems using various tools and equipment


• Support the use of excavators, hand tools, and power tools to carry out drainage repairs and maintenance


• Conduct basic inspections of drainage infrastructure to identify faults or blockages


• Assist with the operation of mechanical and electrical equipment related to drainage works


• Follow health and safety procedures at all times during site activities


• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly


• Support senior engineers in project tasks, including site surveys and measurements

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; however, an interest in civil engineering or infrastructure work is desirable


• Basic mechanical knowledge or electrical experience is advantageous but not essential


• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools is a plus


• Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training programmes


• Good organisational skills with attention to detail


• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions


• Strong team player with good communication skills


• Valid UK driving licence is mandatory
