Trainee Drainage Engineer

Fastfix Drainage \& Plumbing is a growing, family\-run drainage and plumbing business, and we’re looking for a motivated Trainee Drainage Engineer to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands\-on work and wants to learn a skilled trade with plenty of variety and opportunities to progress.

We’re looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable and willing to go the extra mile for our customers and the rest of the team.

No two days are the same in drainage. You’ll work in different locations, in all weather conditions and on a wide variety of jobs, so you’ll need to be adaptable, practical and ready to get stuck in.

You don’t necessarily need drainage experience – we can provide training for the right person. However, previous experience in plumbing, drainage, groundwork, construction or another practical/outdoor role would be a definite advantage.

You will need:

• A full UK driving licence


• A reliable and hardworking attitude


• A willingness to learn and develop new skills


• Good communication and customer service skills


• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team


• To be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions


• To be able to pass a DBS check

Hours \& On\-Call

Your normal working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm.

Fastfix provides a 24/7 service to our customers, so this isn't always a standard 9–5 job. There will be opportunities for overtime and, once fully trained and experienced, you will join our on\-call rota, currently approximately 1 week in every 4\.
