Trainee Drainage Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Trainee Drainage Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career within the drainage industry and receive hands\-on training across a range of drainage services and repair works.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers, learning all aspects of drainage maintenance, investigation, and repair while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Attending drainage call\-outs and assisting with diagnosing issues


• Clearing and resolving blockages


• Carrying out CCTV drainage surveys


• Operating and assisting with high\-pressure water jetting


• Conducting smoke testing to identify drainage defects


• Performing root cutting works


• Carrying out descaling operations


• Completing drain cleaning runs and routine maintenance work


• Assisting with installation of patch liners and drainage repairs


• Identifying defects and finding follow\-on works for the office team to quote


• Accurately reporting findings and recommendations


• Providing clear and professional customer communication


• Maintaining company equipment and vehicles


• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence preferred (or willing to work towards obtaining one)


• Positive attitude and willingness to learn


• Good communication and customer service skills


• Able to work independently and as part of a team


• Comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding environments


• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking


• Previous drainage or construction experience beneficial but not essential as full training can be provided
