Job Summary
Reviewed Skills Must have \- Good understanding of the architectural needs and challenges of an Investment Banking/ Markets business. \- Influence senior stakeholders across CTO, CIO, Architecture, Engineering and Business teams, providing independent challenge and strategic direction \- Strong architecture skills and ability to apply them to complex business problems \- Genuine desire to do the right thing for the bank as a whole \- Good broad set of modern technical skills Nice to have \- Enterprise architecture experience \- Ability to lead a small team of Enterprise Architects \- Knowledge of Murex and its capabilities \- Understanding of Azure and designing systems \- Architecting to support a global business needs Must Have: Knowledge of cloud database technologies, distributed systems and scalable data workload architecture, including Real Time Streaming Understanding of modern enterprise data platforms, data sourcing patterns and constraints, ETL/ELT patterns,. Data Modelling techniques and trade offs Grounding on enterprise data management best practices within a regulated enterprise context Experience designing scalable cloud\-native Data architectures (e.g., Azure, GCP Demonstrable ability to translate complex architectures into reusable enterprise design patterns Ability to comprehend a complex estate, string Stakeholder management, Consultative approach, Adaptability Nice to have: Exposure to AI, applied and enabling, and its effect on both the demand side for data as well as the implications for delivery of data platforms Experience in automation in the data management space, including Data Contracts Familiarity with Data Management and Governance Technology such as Collibra, Dataplex, Purview, Attacamma etc (not specific to these vendors, but the industry) Master \& Reference Data Management best practices experience Worked experience on tech delivery of Real Time data patterns Must Have: Act as a Technology Strategy Consultant to the Group CTO and senior leadership, shaping the Group\\'s long\-term technology vision, strategic direction, and investment priorities. Conduct strategic analysis of emerging technologies, market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments, translating insights into clear recommendations and business outcomes. Develop executive\-level technology strategy artefacts, including strategic viewpoints, future\-state scenarios, investment cases, board papers, and decision\-making materials. Influence senior stakeholders across CTO, CIO, Architecture, Engineering and Business teams, providing independent challenge and strategic advice on the Group\\'s most critical technology priorities. Lead thought leadership and strategy development across key themes including AI, Digital Assets, Digital Identity, Composability, Simplification, and the Future of Banking. Nice to Have: Experience within Financial Services, Consulting, or a technology strategy function in a large, complex organisation. Knowledge of modern technology domains such as cloud, data, platforms, engineering, security, and enterprise architecture.
