Tincknell Country Store, Congresbury is a successful Family owned Independent Essential Retailer supplying the local community.

We are recruiting to replace a valued member of the team who is retiring after 32 years with the Company. The successful applicant will join our small friendly team of four full\-time employees and we are committed to finding the right person for the long term who will become a valued and integral member of the team.

The successful applicant will have wide ranging responsibilities and variety in the role; Choosing and Ranging products to stock, Ordering and Stock replenishment, Pricing, Merchandising, Checking and Receiving deliveries and clearing Invoices and very importantly Helping and Serving Customers. *The role does require regular heavy lifting (carrying the likes of 25kg bags for Customers and unloading, checking and sorting deliveries) as well as the ability, or willingness to learn, to use a Fork Lift Truck for unloading/moving goods. The applicant must have a full driving license.*

The applicant must be a really positive and friendly team player with a Customer focused mindset and must enjoy working in a customer facing role whilst being on their feet for long periods of time.

Tincknell Country Store stock and provide services on a huge range of products; Clothing, DIY, Equestrian, Farm \& Smallholder, Fencing, Footwear, Garden, Garden Machinery, Heating , Home, Pet and Toys. Garden Machinery, such as Lawn Mowers, Strimmers, Hedge\-cutters and Robotic Mowers are a huge part of our business and the applicant must be willing to undergo product training to become knowledgeable and comfortable in handling and selling the range.

Applicants must have directly relevant experience, either Retail or subject matter; Animals/Equestrian/Farming/Gardening \& Garden Power Tools/Rural life (passion and hobbies relevant). Having previous Retail experience is not essential, it is the right person with the right potential that we are seeking.

The position is Monday to Friday plus 1\-in\-3 weekends. Whilst working weekends this will be in the role of the Store Duty Manager and will attract a Duty Manager premium. When working a Weekend the number and timing of Weekdays to be taken\-off as rest days is negotiable to suit both the applicant and business.

The position is hourly paid and, depending upon the rest days taken, the annual salary is between £29,600 and £31,600, plus Store Performance Bonus, Staff Discount, Private Medical Insurance \& Pension Scheme.
