Telesales Team Leader

Location: Hybrid – Huddersfield (Office: Monday, Tuesday \& Friday)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £28\-32k basic salary subjective to candidate, \+ up to 20% monthly commission \& bonus opportunity
Reporting to: Telesales Manager

Our sales team will play an increasingly important role in servicing customer sales enquiries through calls, emails and live chat, providing an industry\-leading customer experience aligned to brand strategy and growth.

Reporting to the Telesales Manager, this is an opportunity to join a fast\-moving business and help shape and enhance our customer experience.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Telesales Team Leader to support the continued development of our Window Furnishings Professionals team.

This role combines leadership, coaching and frontline selling responsibility. You will support the Telesales Manager in driving the effective implementation and compliance of our Sales Excellence Programme, ensuring consistent behaviours, coaching standards and performance across the team.

Alongside leadership responsibilities, you will remain actively involved in sales generation, personally managing high\-value customer opportunities including Video Consultation appointments and Commercial Sales enquiries.

Today the telesales function delivers approximately £4 million annual revenue, with a clear ambition to at least double the size of the function within the next 3–5 years.

This role represents an opportunity to become a key leader within a strategically important and high\-growth channel.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership \& Team Development

  • Support the Telesales Manager in delivering the Window Furnishings Professional Sales Excellence Programme

  • Drive consistent adherence to sales processes, behaviours and service standards

  • Coach, develop and mentor Window Furnishings Professionals through structured feedback and ongoing support

  • Complete regular call listening, coaching sessions and quality reviews

  • Identify performance trends and opportunities for improvement

  • Support onboarding and training of new starters

  • Help create a high\-performance and accountability culture

  • Lead by example through attitude, standards and behaviours

  • Prepare and analyse all relevant daily, weekly and monthly reporting. Liaise with management as necessary
Sales Performance \& Commercial Delivery
  • Support delivery of sales, conversion and AOV targets

  • Drive attachment opportunities including layering, upgrades, Surefit and delivery services

  • Support team performance through daily guidance and intervention where required

  • Monitor customer journeys and identify optimisation opportunities

  • A hands on approach dealing with customer contacts when required
Video Consultation Service Ownership
  • Manage and convert measuring and interior design video consultations

  • Support customers through measuring guidance and premium design advice

  • Convert video consultations into sales opportunities wherever possible

  • Position Blinds Direct as an expert\-led alternative to in\-home consultation providers
Commercial Sales Responsibility
  • Manage larger\-value B2B and commercial enquiries

  • Produce quotations for project and volume\-based opportunities

  • Support commercial tenders where required

  • Build relationships with customers across sectors including hospitality, retail, healthcare and corporate environments

  • Maintain ownership of commercial opportunities from enquiry through to conversion
Skills \& Experience

We are looking for someone who combines strong sales capability with a passion for coaching and leadership.

Experience:

  • Previous telesales, sales leadership or team leader experience

  • Proven track record delivering sales and conversion performance

  • Experience coaching or developing colleagues

  • Experience managing higher\-value or consultative sales opportunities

  • Strong objection handling and closing skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment
Desirable:
  • Experience within home interiors, window furnishings or made\-to\-measure products

  • Experience handling B2B or commercial sales enquiries

  • Video consultation or remote sales experience
