As a Technology Strategy Manager, you will be a pivotal member of the Technology Strategy and Transformation function supporting the development and execution of the Deloitte UK IT technology strategy. Working closely with the Technology Strategy Lead, you will lead research and innovation activities and translate emerging technology opportunities into actionable initiatives. The role supports the alignment technology investments with business priorities, strengthens cross\-functional collaboration, and contributes to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the IT function.

This role strategically impacts the organisation by translating the overarching IT strategy into actionable initiatives, driving the execution of key transformation projects, and fostering innovation from concept to implementation. By ensuring technology investments are effectively managed and aligned with business objectives, the Technology Strategy Manager directly contributes to enhancing operational efficiency, unlocking new business opportunities, and strengthening Deloitte UK IT's competitive advantage.

  • Lead assigned strategic workstreams within transformation programmes, translating directives from the Technology Strategy Lead into actionable workplans aligned to the firm’s technology strategic direction.

  • Conduct continuous market and innovation scouting, producing research, insights, and strategic assessments that inform technology investment decisions.

  • Support the Head of Technology Strategy \& Transformation and Technology Strategy Lead in keeping technology strategy prominent on the CIO and IT leadership team agenda by

  • synthesising insights, preparing strategic briefings, and ensuring decision making forums are underpinned by clear executive narratives.

  • Support investment prioritisation activities by preparing evaluation criteria, assembling evidence packs, and contributing to funding recommendations across Value Streams.

  • Manage defined areas of the product landscape, support budgeting and rebalancing cycles, and prepare data for investment arbitration across Value Streams.

  • Support the coordination of PI (Program Increment) planning activities and contribute to maintaining the PI playbook.

  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across business and IT teams, supporting strategic alignment for major investment decisions.

  • Provide guidance and coaching to Technology Strategy Analyst to support their development and performance.

  • Proven experience in technology strategy, digital transformation, business analysis, or project management within a complex organisation.

  • Demonstrated experience leading workstreams or managing projects related to technology adoption or transformation.

  • Experience in research, developing solution concepts, and supporting business case development.

  • Familiarity with portfolio management, budgeting processes, and financial reporting.

  • Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and engaging cross\-functional teams.

  • Strong understanding of IT operating environments and how technology strategies support business outcomes.

  • Awareness of emerging technologies and their potential applications.

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery approaches (e.g., SAFe) and project management frameworks

  • Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills with the ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across IT and business teams.

  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and consistently deliver to deadline.

  • Confident leading small project groups and working collaboratively across diverse teams.

  • Proficient in creating clear, professional presentations and reports tailored to different levels of seniority.
Desirables:
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, APM, SAFe).

Technology and digital services

From architecture and delivery of new IT systems to IT risk and security, we manage the relationships between the business and our Technology and Digital Services teams. We also help with the delivery of day\-to\-day operational technology and digital support to the rest of the business.

We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships).
