<p>MCFT are a leading <strong>employer-provider of apprenticeships</strong> in commercial catering and refrigeration engineering. As our Technical Academy continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced <strong>Technical Trainer & Skills Coach</strong> to join the team.</p>
<p>We welcome candidates from <strong>electrical, commercial catering gas and refrigeration backgrounds</strong>, with a strong track record in delivering technical training and supporting apprentices.</p>
<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>Based at our <strong>new training centre in Reading</strong>, you will deliver technical training aligned to our apprenticeship programmes, alongside conducting learner progress reviews and supporting apprentices through to gateway and End Point Assessment.</p>
<p>You’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality delivery, maintaining learner progress, and supporting the ongoing development of our academy provision.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Deliver technical theory and practical training (aligned to your specialism)</li>
<li>Conduct initial assessments and quarterly progress reviews</li>
<li>Support learners towards EPA and professional qualifications</li>
<li>Maintain learner records, trackers and registers in line with requirements</li>
<li>Ensure delivery meets Ofsted Good standards or above</li>
<li>Support continuous improvement within the academy</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Level 3 (or equivalent) <strong>Teaching Qualification</strong> (e.g. AET/PTLLS or above)</li>
<li><strong>Assessor Qualification</strong> (TAQA, A1/D1 or equivalent)</li>
<li>Strong preference for <strong>Internal Verification (IQA) qualification</strong></li>
<li>Relevant <strong>industry qualifications</strong> in electrical, catering gas or refrigeration</li>
<li>Proven experience delivering training to adult learners</li>
<li>Experience supporting apprenticeships (standards or frameworks)</li>
</ul>
