Join the Wireless Logic Adventure: 
You'll report into a Software Engineering Manager for the Polaris squad in the Product Experiences Domain. You'll collaborate with your Product Manager, Engineering Team Lead, Delivery Manager and engineering colleagues to build experiences that drive customer value. 
Polaris owns the surfaces our customers interact with most — how they make sense of their connectivity estate, and how they discover and order our products. 
On the reporting and analytics side, we have the vision of building a cutting-edge platform that enables businesses to harness the power of predictive intelligence. We've recently rolled out a Capping and Alerting solution that helps customers understand the cost of their connected devices. On the product discovery side, we're building the front door to our services — a Product Catalogue and Ordering experience that gives every product a single source of truth to create an Order from. 
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is a deep expert in Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript — someone who brings architectural confidence and engineering rigour to backend systems, but who's also keen to contribute across the stack, from Frontend to Infrastructure. Whilst deep domain experience is a bonus, we're really looking for smart, adaptable, motivated engineers who contribute more than just code. 
Key Responsibilities: 🌎

<li>Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and event-driven systems with TypeScript at the core (Node.js, NestJS, Kafka) </li>
<li>Set and raise the bar for backend engineering quality across the team — championing type safety, clean architecture and testability </li>
<li>Lead the design and implementation of SLIs and SLOs to better understand our services (Grafana) </li>
<li>Contribute to complex user interfaces and web applications (React) </li>
<li>Lead CI/CD pipeline strategy and optimisation in collaboration with your team (GitLab) </li>
<li>Perform thorough code reviews and provide constructive, growth-focused feedback </li>
<li>Mentor and support the development of more junior engineers </li>
<li>Be responsible for the health and reliability of your services </li>
<li>Continuously grow yourself and contribute to team development </li>
</ul>
Key Experience & Skills: 🍨 
Required 
<ul>
<li>Deep, production-proven expertise in Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript </li>
<li>Strong understanding of TypeScript at an architectural level: generics, decorators, dependency injection patterns and type system design </li>
<li>Experience implementing asynchronous processing and messaging systems (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) </li>
<li>Experience designing and building REST APIs that are maintainable, observable and performant </li>
<li>Experience building, optimising and maintaining production applications end-to-end </li>
<li>Experience with PostgreSQL, including query optimisation and performance tuning </li>
