We work with leading manufacturers and suppliers to deliver installation, training, maintenance and calibration services to laboratories operating in pharmaceutical, food \& beverage, education, oil \& gas and research sectors.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Technical Services \& Calibration Engineer to join our Whitstable\-based team.
The Role
This is a varied technical position combining engineering, calibration, training and operational support responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Installing and commissioning scientific instrumentation.
- Performing calibration and preventative maintenance activities.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical faults.
- Delivering customer training on equipment operation.
- Attending manufacturer training programmes in Europe and online.
- Providing technical support to customers and colleagues.
- Working closely with our Nigerian engineering team.
- Travelling to Nigeria approximately one week per quarter to support, train and develop local engineers.
- Assisting with operational and project activities during quieter engineering periods.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the business.
You will have:
- Degree or HND in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related scientific discipline.
- Previous experience servicing, maintaining or calibrating laboratory or industrial equipment.
- Strong problem\-solving and communication skills.
- Confidence delivering technical training.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Eligibility to travel internationally.
Experience with one or more of the following:
- HPLC systems
- Gas Chromatography
- Spectroscopy
- Materials Testing Equipment
- Laboratory instrumentation
- ISO 17025 calibration activities

Pay: £35,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
