Technical Program Manager, EMEA WAN Infrastructure and Capacity
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in optical networking on planning, deployment or operations.
Preferred qualifications:
- Deep understanding of project managing the deployment of terrestrial or subsea optical network infrastructure engineering design and construction projects.
- Proven ability to manage project priorities and technical resources and have relationships with multiple partner\-teams, directors, or vendors.
- Ability to identify opportunities for and drive cross\-functional process improvements across the organization.
- Strong communication skills combined with a data\-driven analytical approach towards solving complex challenges.

- Lead large\-scale EMEA optical transport and capacity projects (including metro/long\-haul, fiber, waves, colo, power, and inside/outside plant) from initial inception through final delivery.
- Manage project scope changes, assess impacts, and mitigate issues, risks, and exceptions across the organization to keep simultaneous, competing priorities on track.
- Lead cross\-functional teams, align upstream planning and engineering with downstream Google teams, and deliver clear status updates, analyses, and recommendations to executive management.
- Coordinate with external vendors for outsourced network builds, and facilitate the thorough review and formal acceptance of vendor handover documentation.
- Identify and drive process, software, and measurement enhancements to optimize delivery performance, network functionality, quality, and overall efficiency.
