We are looking for a Technical Design Engineer to join our growing team, helping us develop innovative water feature solutions from initial concept through to installation.

About the Role

As a Technical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of a wide range of water feature projects.

Working closely with our project management and engineering teams, you will turn client requirements into practical, technically sound designs, producing drawings and supporting documentation to help deliver projects successfully.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical design, problem\-solving and creativity within a specialist engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Technical Design \& Development: Produce detailed designs and CAD drawings for fountains, splash pads, water features and associated systems.

· Engineering Solutions: Develop practical design solutions, considering water flow, equipment selection and system performance.

· Project Support: Work alongside project managers and installation engineers to support projects from initial design through to completion.

· Technical Documentation: Prepare design drawings, specifications, equipment schedules and other project documentation.

· Equipment Selection: Assist with the selection of pumps, pipework, water treatment equipment, control systems and other components.

· Problem\-Solving: Review technical challenges, identify potential issues and develop effective engineering solutions.

· Team Collaboration: Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.

· Continuous Improvement: Keep up to date with new technologies, products and sustainable approaches to water feature design.

What We're Looking For

We are interested in hearing from candidates who have:

· A background in engineering, technical design or a related discipline.

· Experience using CAD software to produce technical drawings.

· An understanding of engineering principles, hydraulics or mechanical systems.

· Strong technical, analytical and problem\-solving skills.

· The ability to interpret project requirements and develop practical design solutions.

· Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

· A methodical approach, with excellent attention to detail.

Knowledge of water features, fountains, splash pads, water treatment systems or irrigation would be advantageous, but a willingness to learn and develop within our specialist industry is equally important.
