Dispatch Operative

About the Role

A C Goatham is one of the UK's leading apple growers and suppliers, delivering high\-quality top fruit to customers across the country. We are looking for a reliable and organised Dispatch Operative to join our team and play a key role in ensuring customer orders are accurately prepared and dispatched on time.

Working within a fast\-paced environment, you will be responsible for preparing shipments, moving stock using pallet trucks, and supporting the efficient operation of our dispatch department.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and preparing customer orders for dispatch.


• Loading and unloading products safely and efficiently.


• Operating manual and/or electric pallet trucks to move stock throughout the warehouse and dispatch areas.


• Ensuring orders are accurately checked against dispatch documentation.


• Wrapping, labelling, and securing pallets ready for transport.


• Assisting with stock movements and storage.


• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.


• Following all health and safety, food safety, and company procedures.


• Supporting other warehouse and operational activities as required.

• Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch, logistics, or manufacturing environment is desirable.


• Experience using pallet trucks is advantageous.


• Good attention to detail and accuracy.


• Strong organisational skills.


• Ability to work effectively in a fast\-paced environment.


• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.


• Flexible approach to work and working hours when required.


• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• 45 hours per week across 5 days


• Core working hours 07\.30\-17\.30 with flexibility required between 07\.00 and 24\.00


• Starting rate of £13\.50 per hour. Overtime at time and a quarter after 45 hours.
