About the Role
Live Electrical is a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of premium Consumer Units, Circuit Protection Devices (MCBs, RCBOs, RCDs, SPDs, AFDDs), and electrical distribution equipment. We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Technical Assistant to support our Technical Manager.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong technical electrical knowledge who enjoys helping customers and working hands\-on with products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle technical telephone and email enquiries from electricians, wholesalers, and customers across the UK
- Provide expert advice on our range of circuit protection and distribution products
- Test returned goods — inspect, diagnose faults, and process technical returns
- Support the Technical Manager with product\-related queries and technical documentation
- Assist with maintaining high standards of product knowledge and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of circuit protection and electricity — essential
- Ability to read and interpret electrical single\-line drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Good understanding of electrical installations, regulations (BS 7671\), and common product applications
- Excellent communication skills — confident on the phone and via email
- Practical and detail\-oriented with the ability to test and evaluate electrical products
- Previous experience in an electrical wholesaler, manufacturer, or technical support role is highly desirable
- Candidates will be required to answer a number of technical questions during the interview process with the Technical Manager
