Team Manager - First Response Screening | Leicestershire County Council | Up to £45ph Hello,

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager - First Response Screening to join their frontline safeguarding service.

Rate: Up to £45 per hour
Contract: Full-Time
Outstanding Authority

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-performing team at the front door of Children's Services, making critical safeguarding decisions and ensuring children and families receive the right support at the right time.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and support a team of Screening Social Workers.
Oversee the allocation and progression of contacts and referrals.
Apply statutory thresholds and child protection procedures confidently.
Provide advanced safeguarding decision-making and practice support.
Chair strategy discussions and complex safeguarding meetings.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
Drive performance through effective use of data and KPIs.
Support staff development and continuous improvement.

Requirements: Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
Extensive Children's Services and Child Protection experience.
Screening / First Response experience desirable.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Previous Team Manager experience preferred, although experienced Senior Practitioners looking to step up will be considered.
