Level 3 \- Teaching Assistant

Full Time – 37 hours per week term time only – Fixed term \& Permanent positions.

Fox Wood is a school and College for pupils with ASD, and with Severe and Profound Multiple Learning difficulties. Fox Wood is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth and development. To support the current expansion at Fox Wood we are have a number of vacancies across all three sites.

The person appointed will:

Have experience of working with children with special educational needs

Have experience of supporting pupils who may exhibit challenging behaviour

Be willing to undertake additional training

Be a team player with a good sense of humour, who is able to lead and support their peers

Have a sensitive but enthusiastic approach

Have high expectations of learners

Have well developed communication skills, both with children and adults

Experience of the following would also be advantageous:

ASD, SLD or PMLD

A general understanding of Speech and Language difficulties

Supporting those with visual impairments

Supporting those with Sensory Needs
