Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant Level 3 to support educational programmes within our organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and students, particularly focusing on individuals with special educational needs, Social, Emotional \& Mental Health including those with autism. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people, fostering an inclusive learning environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about education and supporting diverse learners.
Duties
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons to students with special educational needs, including those with Social, Emotional \& Mental Health.
- Support children’s learning activities, providing one\-to\-one tutoring or mentoring as required
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support students with behavioural or emotional challenges, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Foster independence and confidence among pupils through personalised support programmes
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to implement individualised education plans (IEPs)
- Support students during breaks, lunch times, and outdoor activities as needed
- Ensure school Safeguarding procedures are followed in line with the policy.
- Proven experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or disabilities
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and parents
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring roles within educational settings
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Compassionate approach with patience and understanding of behavioural challenges
- Organised, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education or related fields are advantageous but not essential

Pay: £20,720\.00\-£22,085\.00 per year
