Summary
The Governors are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant 2A to support the learning of children across EYFS and KS1\. The role involves providing a mix of 1\-1 support, small group intervention and whole class support.

Key Responsibilities

  • When required, provide individualised 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs, promoting engagement, independence and confidence.

  • Implement tailored learning activities and interventions as directed by the class teacher and SENDCo.

  • Support pupil’s educational, social and emotional development, adapting approaches to meet their specific needs.

  • Build a positive, trusting and supportive relationship with pupils to promote wellbeing and consistent progress.

  • Monitor, record and report on the pupil progress, behaviour and engagement, contributing to reviews and target setting.

  • Assist with the creation of personalised learning resources and contribute to the wider classroom environment.

  • Support behaviour regulation strategies in line with school policies and individual support plans.

  • Provide assistance during transitions, routines and, where appropriate, out‑of‑class or out‑of‑school learning activities.
