Our Resource Managers play a critical role in enabling the successful deployment of people across client engagements, developing strategic initiatives, and supporting the delivery of business priorities.
As a Resource Manager you will be responsible for balancing commercial objectives, workforce planning, employee development, and engagement delivery requirements to ensure the right people are assigned to the right work at the right time.
Working closely with business leaders, project teams, talent teams, practitioners, resource manager peers and resource management leadership. The Resource Manager serves as a trusted advisor providing data\-driven workforce insights, driving deployment decisions, and supporting the effective utilisation and development of our people.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:
Resource Planning \& Deployment
- Manage deployment and resource allocation across a defined capability, or business area.
- Match practitioner skills, experience, career aspirations, and availability to business demand.
- Work with our Demand Team to understand future resourcing requirements and proactively identify potential supply and demand challenges.
- Work with leadership teams to resolve resource conflicts and optimise workforce utilisation.
- Recommend creative staffing solutions where traditional sourcing approaches do not meet business requirements.
- Proactively build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Act as a trusted adviser on workforce planning, deployment strategy, and resourcing decisions.
- Influence senior stakeholders to achieve balanced resourcing outcomes.
- Facilitate discussions to resolve competing priorities and resource constraints.
- Produce and interpret workforce management reporting and insights.
- Monitor utilisation, availability, deployment trends, workforce capacity and forecasting metrics and Present data\-driven recommendations to leadership teams.
- Identify risks relating to underutilisation, overutilisation, skill shortages and succession planning.
- Support practitioner development through detailed knowledge of skills and experience that feeds into assignment planning and career\-focused deployment decisions.
- Work with broader HR teams and People leaders, to proactively address resourcing\-related matters to ensure consistent and positive employee experience while providing valuable insights for performance management, recruitment, and people development.
- Support onboarding and integration of new joiners into the deployment process.
- Become a Subject Matter Expert in our Resource Management system and reporting dashboards and champion use to encourage and maintain accurate workforce and deployment data within the systems.
- Ensure adherence to workforce management processes and data governance requirements to maintain data integrity.
- Collaborate with Resource Management Leadership to drive continuous improvement in service delivery effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support business transformation and workforce planning initiatives as expected.
- Share best practice and contribute to the development of resource management methodologies.
- Participate in cross\-business resource management projects and initiatives.
- Act as an ambassador for collaborative working and inclusive workforce planning.
Essential
- Experience within Resource Management, Workforce Planning, Resourcing, Operations or Talent Deployment within a professional services environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
- Ability to analyse workforce data and translate insights into business recommendations.
- Numerate with awareness of commercials metrics.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to both written and face\-to\-face audiences.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Proactive and creative approach to problem solving.
- Attention to detail and able to spot inconsistencies/discrepancies
- Appreciation of sensitive and confidential information and approach with risk management and HR lens.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast\-paced environment.
- Computer literate, in particular a working knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel (and ideally Power point).
- Experience within Consulting, Technology or Transformation environments.
- Experience using workforce management and scheduling platforms (e.g. StaffIT, Dayshape or similar).
- Knowledge of workforce forecasting and capacity planning methodologies.
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools such as Tableau/BIIS.
