About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (Product Security) to lead the secure design and integration of advanced defence and aerospace systems. In this role, you will act as a product security authority, ensuring systems remain secure, resilient, and compliant throughout the lifecycle, while embedding secure\-by\-design principles and addressing evolving cyber and operational threats.
At Frankenburg, you will join a team of leading experts building next\-generation defence missile systems for the free world. Working in a fast\-paced environment, you will directly shape how we verify and demonstrate advanced defence technologies. If you thrive on innovation and impact — we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Security \& Systems Engineering
Take ownership of product security, including security architecture, threat modelling, vulnerability assessments, and assurance activities, and contribute to general systems engineering tasks (e.g. system architecture, requirements, and modelling and analysis) as needed.
Apply MBSE to integrate security requirements and ensure traceability across system designs.
- Requirements \& Assurance
Define and verify security, resilience, and compliance requirements.
Perform risk analysis, attack path modelling, and security impact assessments.
Support secure system integration, security testing, and validation of mitigations across the product lifecycle.
- Governance \& Documentation
Produce security artefacts, assurance evidence, and stakeholder reports.
Work with engineering teams, suppliers, and customers to embed security across systems and supply chains.
Drive best practices and strengthen security culture and governance.
We Would Love You to Have
Degree in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, Electronics, Aerospace, or similar.
Background in defence, aerospace, or high\-assurance environments, with strong focus on system security and secure architecture.
Experience in threat modelling, vulnerability analysis, MBSE, and security standards.
Solution\-oriented with excellent communication skills, a structured approach to problem solving, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor influencing stakeholders.
Strong alignment with our mission to build affordable and mass\-manufacturable defence technologies — ensuring every euro spent moves us closer to our goal.
Willingness to undergo a background check as a condition of employment.
Our Values
Our mission is ambitious, and it takes a team that works with the same intensity.
- Own the Mission: Mission first. Always.
We choose impact — we focus on what moves the mission forward fastest instead of “nice\-to\-haves". We fix it now — when delays or problems appear, we step up, rally the right people, and solve them immediately. We keep momentum — when time matters, we stay focused and move forward without waiting for perfect conditions.
- Strive for More: Dare more. Do more. Achieve the impossible.
We challenge the status quo — we question, test, and improve instead of accepting “the usual way.” We embrace discomfort — we step outside comfort zones and turn challenges into growth. We anticipate the future — we build solutions that scale and set higher standards each time.
- Build with Trust: Be open. Keep promises.
We walk the talk — what we say, we do. No excuses, no exceptions. We share openly — we communicate clearly and early, even when the news is hard. We own outcomes — we admit errors quickly, fix them, and prevent them from repeating.
