Job Description
To support a young woman with muscle dystrophy who will be living independently in her own tenancy.
Staff will need to assist service user with personal care, maintain the cleanliness of the house, preparing meals and assist with eating.
Accompany service user out in the community and attending activities I.e. shopping, cinema, concerts etc.
Service user uses an electric wheelchair, which she operates with the limited mobility she has in her hand. Service user has a heart condition and has a defibrillator, with a pacemaker in it. Service user has reduced lung function and uses a bipap machine during the night to support her breathing. Service user has a peg tube for additional supplements, as she does not get enough nutrients from her diet.
Service user would prefer individuals who are outgoing, chatty, easy going, laid back.
Service user has her own mobility car, so drivers are preferred who can operate manual cars.
Skills Required\- Full UK driving licence essential
· Caring attitude, flexibility. and the ability to work alongside people who use our services.
· Ability to use common sense and use of own initiative.
· Willingness to learn and have an empowering attitude.
· Good communication skills
· Ability to work towards an SVQ 3 qualification.
· Maintain a written agreed record of work completed.
· To attend any training provided by the company, to attend team meetings, and reviews regarding the people who use our services as required.
· Develop one’s own knowledge and practice.
· To undertake all duties in accordance with the company policies and procedures and always abide by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Codes of Practice and the Health \& Social Care Standards.

Pay: £26,227\.50\-£27,300\.00 per year
