Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to assist children with complex needs. This role involves providing personalised care and support to enable children to achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to individual care plans. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring the child's needs are met with sensitivity and professionalism
- Support children in daily activities, including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that promotes the child's well\-being and development
- Assist with behavioural management strategies as outlined in care plans
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the child's condition
- Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure coordinated support
- Drive children to appointments or activities as required, ensuring safety at all times
- Utilise IT systems to update records, document progress, and communicate with colleagues
- Experience working with children, particularly those with complex needs or disabilities
- Valid driving licence and willingness to drive children as part of the role
- Knowledge of childcare practices and experience implementing care plans
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
- Compassionate attitude with a patient and adaptable approach to individual needs
- Ability to work flexibly according to scheduled shifts, including some evenings or weekends if required
Pay: £24,420\.00\-£36,098\.41 per year
