Support Worker (Days \& Nights)

Rowan Unit, Tag Lane, Preston.

33, or 44hour contract\- 12hour shifts 8\- 8 on a rota basis with every other weekend availability requited.

About Rowan Unit

Rowan Unit is a 19 bed facility supporting adults with complex needs including Dementia plus, Parkinson’s Disease, Schizophrenia, Brain injury, enduring mental health conditions and behavioural support requirements.

Your Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital part in helping individuals achieve their goals and maintain independence. You’ll support with personal care, daily living activities, and engagement in therapeutic routines, using trauma\-informed approaches and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver compassionate, person\-centred care

  • Motivate and support individuals to engage in meaningful activities

  • Promote dignity, choice, and independence

  • Implement care plans and behaviour support strategies

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

  • Uphold accountability through accurate documentation and reflective practice

  • Night roles also include light cleaning duties to support the home

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health \& Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
