Cedar Garden Care Home, Tag Lane, Preston.
22, 33, or 44hour contract\- 12hour shifts 8\- 8 on a rota basis with every other weekend availability requited.

Cedar Garden is a specialist dementia nursing unit designed specifically for up to 30 male individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours. We're dedicated to providing compassionate and person\-centred care to each of our residents

Please note – There is a genuine occupational requirement as to why Male only applicants are needed, as you will be supporting males with very hight dementia.
Your Role
As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital part in helping individuals achieve their goals and maintain independence. You’ll support with personal care, daily living activities, and engagement in therapeutic routines, using trauma\-informed approaches and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver compassionate, person\-centred care
- Motivate and support individuals to engage in meaningful activities
- Promote dignity, choice, and independence
- Implement care plans and behaviour support strategies
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Uphold accountability through accurate documentation and reflective practice
- Night roles also include light cleaning duties to support the home

We’re looking for people who are:
- Calm, dependable, compassionate, and caring
- Comfortable working independently (especially at night)

- Genuinely motivated to make a difference

- Understanding of trauma\-informed care and PBS (training provided)
- Commitment to excellence and continuous learning
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health \& Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
