We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Reading providing essential assistance and guidance to individuals in our community. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised support and mentoring. You'll be supporting people with:

  • Learning disabilities and physical disabilities

  • Mental health conditions

  • Autism spectrum disorders
Your role will involve:
  • Providing compassionate personal care with dignity and respect

  • Supporting with daily living skills, household tasks, and medication management

  • Facilitating social engagement and community integration

  • Helping service users develop coping mechanisms and build resilience

  • Encouraging independence and self\-determination

  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

  • Maintaining accurate records and care documentation

  • Following organizational policies to ensure safeguarding and empowerment
What We are Looking For

Essential:

  • A genuine passion for making a positive difference in people's lives

  • Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to build trusting, therapeutic relationships

  • Respectful approach that upholds dignity and promotes independence

  • Willingness to learn and undertake comprehensive training

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS check
Desirable:
  • Experience in healthcare, social care, or support work

  • Understanding of person\-centred and trauma\-informed care approaches

  • Knowledge of mental health, learning disabilities, or autism

  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 in Health \& Social Care, Care Certificate, etc.)

  • Drivers Licence is a must
