We are looking for a support worker to be part of our home team in our Ofsted Registered Children's home in Bridgwater, Somerset.

Our homes provide a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people aged 8–18 who have experienced trauma, neglect, and crisis in their young lives.

What You’ll Do

As a Support Worker, you’ll be part of a dedicated team that provides care and support 24/7

Your role will include:

  • Supporting young people and with daily routines, education, and personal development.

  • Promoting positive activities and community involvement.

  • Acting as a role model and advocate.

  • Contributing to support plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding.

  • Working shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep\-ins.
What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Aged 21\+

  • Right to work in the UK (unable to offer sponsorship)

  • Full UK manual driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance

  • Calm under pressure and confident in residential care settings

  • Understanding of safeguarding, child development, and behaviour management
Desirable:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health \& Social Care, Youth Work, or Education

  • Enhanced portable DBS

  • Knowledge of welfare benefits, housing options, and mental health issues

  • Interests or hobbies you can share with young people (e.g. cooking, sports, music)
