This is a Full\-time position
Working hours: 37 hours per week
Salary Scale SCP: 24 – 28 (£35,412 to £39,152 per annum ), plus NJC annual pay award and Local Government Pension Scheme.
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a varied and rewarding role where you can make a real difference? Bridgwater Town Council is seeking a proactive and people\-focused HR Officer to join our team and support the delivery of a high\-quality HR service across the organisation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a supportive HR team, alongside other HR Officers, with responsibility for a broad HR remit including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and HR systems. You will work closely with managers and employees across the Council, providing practical advice and support while helping to drive a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
As HR Officer , you will:
· Manage end\-to\-end recruitment and onboarding activity
· Provide HR advice and support on employee relations matters
· Maintain accurate HR systems, records and reporting
The ideal candidate will be:
· Knowledgeable in employment law and HR best practice
· Highly organised with strong attention to detail
· An excellent communicator able to build effective working relationships
