The Role
We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and motivated Bank Therapeutic Residential Support Workers to join our team.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping young people feel safe, valued, and supported. You will build positive relationships, promote emotional wellbeing, support education and independence, and help young people achieve their individual goals.
Responsibilities
- Providing high\-quality care and support to young people.
- Building positive and trusting relationships.
- Supporting young people with daily routines and activities.
- Promoting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.
- Supporting education, health appointments, and community activities.
- Completing clear and accurate records and reports.
- Working as part of a therapeutic and trauma\-informed team.
- Supporting young people through periods of emotional distress and dysregulation.
- Following safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of children at all times.
Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
- Ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and sleep\-ins.
- Previous experience within residential childcare, supported accommodation, education, social care, youth work, mental health, or similar settings.
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Knowledge of trauma\-informed and therapeutic approaches.
