Support Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with young adults with learning disability, sensory impairment and autism. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence.

Duties

• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well\-being.


• Maintain accurate records of client care and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or manager.


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.


• Demonstrate knowledge of Person Centred Working and experience of working with challenging behaviours


• Flexible in approach to the needs of person(s) being supported, enabling them to take control of their lives.


• Identifying the support needs of clients and implement their support plans to meet clients needs. Daily support including provision of personal care for people in their own homes.


• Hours of Support on a rostered basis is Monday to Sunday. (Flexibility is key) Minimum hours per call is 4 hours.

• Capable of performing caregiving duties with compassion and professionalism.


• Experience of enabling person/s to develop the skills and confidence needed to live as independently as possible is essential


• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Pay: £12\.71 per hour
