Responsibilities
Job Overview
- To provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the Senior Carer/Team Leader.
- Adhere to directives to achieve set goals
- Demonstrate caring, compassionate as well as foster trust and confidence in the service for people in the service.
- To use technical/creative skills to engage service users in therapeutic activities which promote independence, resilience and well\-being.
- Contribute to risk assessment and risk management by identifying and reporting to the team leader/manager/director.
- To assist with quality assurances processes across the organisation.
- Report to Team leader/Registered Nurse/Manager/Director
- Serve as a liaison between upper management and the team.
- To be flexible, adaptable and dependable.
- Comply supervisions as well as personal development programs; whether this is individually or in groups as per policy.
- To support and enable Service Users to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person\-centered care unique to the Service User.
- To maintain good standards of recording keeping that meets the expected standards in health and social care.
- To maintain skills at a current level, undertake such training and development as required from time\-to\-time to maintain and progress knowledge
- Prioritise tasks to meet deadline and objectives.
- Liaise with service uses, their families and health \& social care professionals to resolve any concerns raised.
- Adhere to the organisation protocols and procedures at all times.
- Lead by example through ethical and professional behaviour
