Summary of Role: The Supply Chain Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring Multi\-Ply Components has the right materials, consumables and components available at the right time to support customer demand and production requirements.

Working across purchasing, stock control, suppliers and internal departments, the role will take day\-to\-day ownership of raw material and consumable availability, purchasing, stock accuracy, inventory monitoring, supplier performance and supply chain reporting.

This is an important role within a growing carbon fibre manufacturing environment, where material availability, lead times, quality and cost can have a direct impact on production and customer delivery.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Take day\-to\-day ownership of raw material, consumable and production supply availability, ensuring materials are available when required.

  • Monitor stock levels, usage, shelf life and inventory accuracy, maintaining appropriate stock levels and investigating discrepancies.

  • Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring the right quantities, specifications, prices and delivery dates are achieved.

  • Source materials and obtain quotations, comparing cost, quality, lead times and supplier performance.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, proactively managing deliveries, shortages, delays and supply issues.

  • Work closely with Production, Planning and Operations to understand current and future material requirements and support production schedules.

  • Monitor upcoming demand and customer forecasts to ensure future material requirements are planned and ordered in advance.

  • Coordinate stock checks and stocktakes, ensuring physical inventory matches system records and materials are correctly controlled.

  • Work with Production and Quality to manage quarantined, rejected, obsolete or non\-conforming materials.

  • Monitor and report on stock levels, purchasing, supplier performance, shortages and supply chain risks, providing accurate information to support decision\-making.

  • Support the introduction of new products by establishing material requirements and appropriate suppliers.

  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing, stock control, supplier performance and supply chain efficiency.

  • Support the development and improvement of ERP/MRP and stock management systems and processes.

  • Contribute to cost reduction, improved efficiency and sustainable business growth.

  • Ensure material traceability and batch control is maintained.

  • Use data and reporting to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.

  • Create COC and inspection reports when required by the shipping department
Key Skills (person specification):

Essential

  • Previous experience in purchasing, buying, supply chain, procurement, stock control or a similar manufacturing environment.

  • Strong organisational and administration skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Good numerical and analytical ability.

  • Experience managing purchase orders and suppliers.

  • Experience monitoring stock and inventory.

  • Confident using Office 365 apps

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.

  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of cost, lead time and stock implications.

  • Ability to work effectively with production and operational teams.

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
Desirable
  • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems.

  • Experience with SAP systems.

  • Experience purchasing technical or engineering materials.

  • Understanding of material traceability and batch control.

  • Experience with supplier performance management.

  • Knowledge of stock forecasting and inventory management.

  • CIPS or other relevant purchasing/supply chain qualification.

Pay: £32,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
